Decorative radiator DECOR

The DECOR radiator is a slim, tall model available in a version with two visible vertical lines (a place where aluminium elements join) or in a version that is perfectly smooth on the front side and with visible lines on the back wall.

The standard version is the version with visible lines on the front and back (the ordering process should precisely specify the type of radiator).

DECOR radiators not only have a heating function, but also a decorative function, being an original decoration of an interior.

They are available in a wide range of colours selected from the RAL colour palette, which consists of over two hundred shades. The simple design of these heaters fits perfectly into any environment..

Design of the DECOR radiator

The DECOR radiator consists is constructed of two systems: water system and heat transfer system:

  • Water system – constructed from copper heating tubes horizontally arranged inside the radiator and connected at the ends by vertical copper collectors. The connection of the heating tubes with the collectors is made by soldering (hard soldering).
  • The heat transfer system – is made of aluminium sheet fins set vertically on the heating pipes of the water system. Appropriately bent front and back edges of the lamellas fit tightly together to form the front and back wall of the heater. A flat aluminium plate is mounted on the lamella wall – on both sides.

DECOR radiators are centrally powered from the bottom. The connection is immovable: connection block in the axis of the radiator, supply/return – freely, spacing between connections – 50 mm. Female thread ½ ‘’

The TWINS installation kit in an angular configuration is dedicated to DECOR heaters. Spacing of connecting studs: 50 mm (see Accessories tab at extra charge).

DECOR radiators may be used in any type of installation – copper, plastic or traditional steel. They cooperate with electric, gas, oil and solid fuel boilers. They work perfectly with condensing boilers and in systems operated by heat pumps.

DECOR radiators are used in:

  • single and multi-family buildings – possibility to be supplied from the municipal network
  • energy-saving houses – possibility of using in every configuration of central heating system
  • frame and wooden houses – very light heaters mean easy transport and installation, even on plasterboard walls
  • educational, teaching and childcare buildings – low contact temperature
  • cultural buildings, bank service facilities – decorative radiator – narrow, vertical
  • sacral buildings – active air mixing, even temperature distribution, moisture removal
  • warehouses and large buildings, industrial buildings – the possibility of temporary temperature reduction and even switching off some zones with the option of quick activation
  • facilities with increased humidity, swimming pools, car washes, winter gardens, vessels and port infrastructure

Technical data

radiator

Height: 1400-2000 mm

Lenght: 400-800 mm

Width: 90 mm

Weight: 9,66-22,20 kg

Water capacity: 1,15-2,42 dm³

Distance between radiator and wall: 2 cm

Connections: bottom centre, 50 mm spacing

Operating pressure: 1,5 MPa

Operating temperature: up to +110°С

Advantages of DECOR radiator:

  • copper-aluminium construction ensures high efficiency at low flow temperatures
  • copper and aluminium are characterised by a high heat transfer coefficient (higher than steel and cast iron), heat is emitted even at a small temperature difference (heater and ambient)
  • corrugated, very large heat exchange surface, an important feature for heating based on a low temperature of the heating agent – condensation boilers, heat pumps
  • low own weight and small water capacity mean high heating dynamics, the heaters quickly reach their full rated power for a given flow temperature
  • low thermal inertia enables energy-efficient and easily controllable heating
  • Heating of the room takes place in a mixed way:
    – by intense, wide-angle heat radiation from the front corrugated surface of the heater
    – by convection

Air drawn in from below through the heater’s numerous convection chimneys flows through the heater’s interior, heats up after coming into contact with the surface of the pipes and fins and then flows out at the top through the perforated top casing. This double method of heat emission results in even heating of the air in the entire room.

Method of heat emission by REGULUS-system heaters

Illustration of heat transfer by perpendicular radiation from the surface – Finned aluminium heater

Swimming pool version

SWIMMING POOL VERSION – these are special versions of wall mounted heaters intended for areas with increased humidity, such as swimming pools, car washes, laundries, conservatories, etc.
Their special resistance results from two features:
*construction – REGULUS®-system wall heaters are made of copper (exchanger) and aluminium (covers, lamellas), i.e. metals extremely resistant to corrosion. Unlike steel heaters, which quickly and easily succumb to destructive corrosion, copper and aluminium, when subjected to the process of oxidation, form oxides which, permanently connected to the non-oxidised material, constitute a tight protective layer for the process to continue deep into the structure of these metals.
*thickened layer of special varnish – an important protection, both against moisture and the impact of chemicals (used in swimming pools and other such facilities), is a durable, thickened layer of polyester-epoxy varnish hardened at high temperature. The mounting elements of the heaters are also made of aluminium profiles coated with facade powder varnish.

Description:
tz – Flow temperature
tp – Return temperature

In the description of the heater parameters tz appears as the first value, tp as the second, and the room temperature as the third, e.g. 55/45/20

To calculate the heating power for non-standard supply parameters, divide the heating power for parameter 75/65/20 by the value read from the correction factor table.

For example, we are looking for the heating power for the S6/60 radiator for the parameter 70/50/20. The power for 75/65/20 is 922 W. In the table of correction factors, we read the coefficient for: tz = 70, tp = 50, room temperature = 20. In the table of correction coefficients read the value of the coefficient for: tz = 70, tp = 50, room temperature = 20. For these parameters the coefficient is: 1,246.
Therefore: 922/1,246 ≈740 W
